Journey through the Chakras with Sylvia
September 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm$10
Most Tuesday Evenings | Sep 3rd-Oct 29th | 6:30pm-8pm
**Sep 17th class is on! I will be there in spite of the weather for anyone who comes for class.
The term “chakra” means “wheel”. Chakras are like steering wheels that guide us through life. If one wheel is out of balance, we may wobble this way or that out of control.
Chakras affect our perceptions, feelings and choices, the flow and types of thoughts we have, and much more. Opening and balancing the chakras opens the senses, integrates them into a network that can relate to the larger source field of energy from which we came and to which we return.
The exercises, pranayam, and meditations in this series focus on balancing the chakras and clearing the blocks to the free natural flowing energy through them, resulting in balancing and maximizing the functioning of the body, mind and spirit. Join us for a journey of self-discovery and inner awakening.
Each class include discussion, yoga, meditation, essential oils for the chakras, and deep relaxation to the healing sounds of the gong and crystal bowls. Come to one, some or all classes in the series.

About the Instructor
Sylvia (spiritual name “Charan”) wears many hats — from IT Professional to wife, mother and grandmother. But her passion is Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. After many years searching for self-healing, by practicing various forms of yoga, meditation and energy-related healing modalities, she found that the technology of Kundalini Yoga is what works for her. Her mission is to help others find what she found — deep healing on all levels, stress reduction, peace, and a better quality of life. Having begun her own yoga practice later in life, she feels that yoga can be practiced at any age and flexibility level, and wants to share the many benefits with others. Her specialty is gentle yoga, with inspiring music, meditation and relaxation to the healing sounds of the gong and crystal bowls. Sylvia is an IKYTA certified, RYT-200 yoga teacher, and teaches at Yoga Central on Tuesday evenings 6:30pm.
“Amid the swirling, confusing, unfocused energies of the modern world, there is a calm, and a healing in the center of all things. ” ~ Yogi Bhajan
