What is this rainbow chakra system that you see everywhere? Would it surprise you to learn that the familiar, 7-chakra rainbow model that is ubiquitous today is only about 40 years old? Come and learn the fascinating history of the chakras – how the idea developed in the tantric traditions of India and how it changed when it came to the West. In this short, introductory class, you will view ancient manuscripts and the earliest representations of the chakras in Indian tantric scripture. You will learn the hidden, esoteric meanings of the symbols, and what you can do today to utilize this wonderful meditation practice.
