2pm Friday, April 20th – 12pm Sunday, April 22nd
Women carry the weight of the world and in that capacity have the power to move it in a direction of our choosing. Yogi Bhajan or as we respectfully call him, Siri Singh Sahib ji, spent many years sharing tools with us so that we could fulfill the vision of our success. This is how much love and hope he had for us. During one of the many summers he spent with us at Khalsa Women’s Training Camps (KWTC) he said,
“Today I am calling you once, and I shall be calling again, after my death. This call of mine shall be an everlasting call; it will be heard through centuries and through generations. I am calling all the women of the world to come back Home, Home of divinity and dignity, so that this earth can live in peace; otherwise it will become a cinder and there shall be no human race. Neurotic men will wage atomic war and nothing shall be left. The only saving factor which there can be is a dignified divine woman, and that has to be created all around. … I am calling today to all women of this planet earth to return to their real essence, a dignified and divine real self. I am calling upon the real self. I am calling upon them to rise when everyone else sleeps. … I am calling them to … do anything and everything within their reach so they can become once more that magnetic field which attracts righteousness, goodness, kindness, and all-told positive human values. That is what you have to be.” ~ Yogi Bhajan July 19, 1978
Our priorities for the Weekend are to experience Yogi Bhajan’s video classes taken from him teaching at Khalsa Women’s Training Camps, to do one of his yoga or physical training classes, and to do early morning Sadhana (spiritual practice including Japji, yoga and meditation) together. We definitely make time for discussion since his classes always stimulate questions, as well as time to enjoy the beach environment, each other’s company and wisdom, and delicious vegetarian food.
Reservations have been made to hold a house for us on Crystal Beach. Click here to take a look. Although having a lovely environment is nice, the real gem is being in the company of and supporting each other.
Since this is a not-for-profit and collective effort we need your help to make the weekend happen. Our location requires pre-payment and pre-planning, so if you will be joining us, please let us know. Thank you, in advance, for sending payment as early as possible.
For more information, please contact: Guru Gian Kaur
The cost of the Weekend is estimated to be $200. Our goal is to keep the cost as low as possible without causing stress to our or anyone else’s budget. If you really want to come but cost will prevent you from joining us, don’t let that stop you from contacting me. We do our best to cover one another.
If you’ve never joined us before and need more background information on what these Khalsa Women’s Weekends are about and their history I’ll share more of our story in future emails. In the meantime, I’m happy to answer any questions so feel free to contact me.
Pass this email along to any women you wish. If you don’t want to receive any more emails about our Weekends please let me know and I’ll remove you from the list.
Welcome if you’ve never come before, welcome if you’ll be coming for the 23rd time and welcome however number of times you have joined us!
Yogi Bhajan quote from Khalsa Women’s Training Camp:
“To reach to the spirit, to reach to the higher consciousness, to reach to the boulevards, to go through the alley of spirituality, you must understand that through every alley that you walk, no matter how dirty it may be, how beautiful it may be, how many flowers there may be, how many ugly things there may be, still, you are you. The words, ‘I am, I am,’ mean that through thick and thin, through beauty and ugliness, through grace and insult, you will always walk as a graceful being. That is spirituality.”
